Sanjeev earned his PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India before joining as a postdoctoral fellow at the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health where he investigated Nrf2 regulated antioxidant mechanisms in asthmatics and critically ill patients. He joined Rabb lab for his second postdoc and continued his research related to Nrf2 pathway in acute kidney injury (AKI). He is currently investigating the role of an immune checkpoint molecule, TIGIT, in kidney T cells during AKI. His research interest includes acute kidney injury, immune checkpoint molecules, Nrf2 pathway, Immunotherapy and AKI to CKD progression.
