Shishir is a biomedical researcher with interests in immunology, kidney disease, and host–microbiome interactions. He earned his PhD in 2020 from the Institute of Science at Banaras Hindu University, India. He currently focuses on T cell biology, gut–kidney communication, and the mechanisms that regulate renal inflammation, fibrosis, and recovery, using translational and multi-omics approaches.
